Featured Start-ups

This blog is dedicated to start-ups I plan to keep a close eye on in the next year or so. The criteria I use to determine which start-ups get selected are those I feel are fully-capable of bringing in a yearly six figure income. These websites are fully-functional, have a visually stunning layout, demonstrate a clean, simple, and modern interface, and are effectively monetized.

Genesis AR

Elevator Pitch: GenesisAR is the world's first mobile AR trading card game. Our product combines the best of physical tabletop gaming (physical ownership & social interaction) and mobile gaming (powerful graphics, network connectivity), using Augmented Reality to bring the card to life before the players very eyes.

Founder: David Shaw

Description: GenesisAR is an augmented reality (AR) studio, with a focus on the user experience (UX) provided by AR products. The majority of AR products on the market consider AR as an extension to the overall product; our products are designed from the ground up with AR integrated into the solution.

Our team comprises:

Dave (CEO) - mechanical engineer originally, now running operations, legal, finance, marketing, and all the other bits and pieces
Ryan (Product) - part creative genius, part gaming enthusiast, responsible for product design and managing all creative content
Long (CTO) - started his first business at age 15, now developing game changing AR algorithms for use in our products.

Why it's Unique: Focus on user experience as a core feature of AR product development. Ensure the AR is integral to the entire product, adding value to the end user. Combining physical and digital components of our products provides a platform to control the overall experience, and deliver high quality AR.

We are also the only product on the market that allows you to punch Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton in the face. Surely that counts for something.
